Brand “New” 1991 Casita trailer

For the last two years, I have been dreaming of having a travel trailer to visit all of the National Parks and see this country before it all gets destroyed. This year, I finally got one! I want to make it have a higher purpose than just my selfish reasons. Our world is so divided and awful. What people are doing to each other and our planet is not okay. The only way I know how to help is to bring people together through art. I will be positive from now on I promise.

I am writing this as a way for me to get my ideas written down so I can organize my thoughts. This will be my first post of many about the progress of my trailer and other rambling thoughts. I wanted to fix it up and make it look like a crazy painting explosion along with a thousand other ideas. I didn’t want to buy a new one because I knew I would want to customize every bit of it to what I wanted. I really didn’t know much about what I was getting myself into until I got it home and starting tearing it up. I know a fair amount of handy things but anything beyond the basics is going to be a huge learning experience. I have been wanting to go back to school to get an MFA but, I think this can be a good way to put myself through my own crash course.

Goal

My goal is to travel the US for the next two years and create murals in as many states as possible while living in the trailer. I want to meet different communities and teach art workshops along the way to spread my love of creating with as many people as I can. I think my goals will evolve as time goes on and as I learn more about what I am actually trying to do but, this is a start.
